Shoplifter

Saturday morning, Wil took Addie with him to get the car washed.

Quick tangent. I've been craving any type of cold drink lately - slushies, milk shakes, smoothies, Icees, just plain ice, it doesn't matter as long as it's freezing cold and wet. In fact, if I could figure out a way to make even sort of healthy, I would drink all of my calories for the day and forgo eating altogether.

So, back to Saturday morning. I requested a slushy from the gas station where the car was being washed. Wil and Addie went inside while they were working on the car to get my slushy. While Wil was paying, Addie was into everything under the counter - because they like to keep the ring pops and the candy and the gum right at eye level for kids. Before they left, Wil grabbed all of the candies from Addie's hands and stuffed them back under the counter.

Wil put Addie in the car, and then walked around to the other side to buckle her in. By the time he got to the other side of the car, she was chewing on a piece of gum and clutching the pack in one hand and a second piece in the other. Wil was amazed that she was able to find gum so quickly in newly cleaned car, took away the pack and grabbed a piece for himself as he climbed into the drivers seat.

When he got home, Wil realized it was Trident gum. This only matters because we don't ever buy Trident brand gum...ever. Then he looked more closely at the pack and realized only three pieces were missing. We NEVER leave unopened gum in the car - if we buy it, it's always because we want a piece.

We're pretty sure our two year old is a shoplifter. We'll be turning her into police the next time she starts acting up and not listening!
