Welding
Wil is taking a welding class at school. He won a welder at work about a year ago, but wasn't sure how to use it. He didn't want to let such an awesome prize go to waste, so he's taking a class.
Tonight he sent me this picture message of what he made in his class. Tee hee...it gave me butterflies! :-)

Flower Power
Dog Sitter
We're babysitting my grandma's dogs this week. :-)

Saturday morning I woke up and thought Elvis was so excited when I opened the bedroom door because he wanted to see me...yeah, not so much. He ran right past me and waited patiently at the garage door - my grandma's dogs were in their cage in the garage - Elvis wanted to play!

Melting Pot
Wil and I decided to go to the Melting Pot for my birthday...I've ALWAYS wanted to go to the melting pot! It was a much anticipated activity ALL week - in fact the people I work with probably heard about how excited I was to go to the melting pot at least once a day.
I don't think I realized that they bring your entree out raw...we got raw pork, beef, chicken, shrimp, tuna and lobster...and then you cook it yourself in the fondue pot - okay, okay, so maybe that's the definition of fondue, but I always thought fondue was just what you dipped the cooked food in.
It's possible that I built up the experience a bit too much in my mind before we went (just maybe). If Wil and I went back (I doubt we would go back), we would get the appetizer and dessert and skip the entree altogether.
Dessert was by far my favorite part - as evidenced by the fact that I started reviewing the dessert menu about two bites into my dinner. :-) I wasn't a huge fan of the flavor of what we cooked the meat in, which meant I wasn't a huge fan of dinner.
It was a cool experience though, and I'm glad I at least tried it; otherwise I would still be wishing with all of my heart I could go to the Melting Pot one day!
My recommendation, if you go...save your self lots of money and just get dessert - preferably one they set on fire!

Birds of a Feather
To celebrate birthdays, we like to play pranks on each other at work. I walked into my office Thursday and found this...

and this...

and this...

and eventually this...

Yep, that's definitely my biggest fear in life all over my office and on my birthday cupcakes! For some reason pranks make me feel loved...I'm still trying to figure out why!

Hoppy Easter!
We went to my aunt and uncle's house for Easter dinner. It was great fun, and a lot of my extended family members came as well. We enjoyed playing volleyball (it was determined I will never be a volleyball star...Wil wasn't bad though - he made up for my suckiness!) :-) and visiting with family.
I was in charge of dessert - HOORAY! I like to make dessert!

We had Easter bunny carrot cake and carrot cupcakes with cream cheese frosting.
