We took Adelyn swimming for the first time last weekend! My aunt and uncle were nice enough to let us borrow their pool for the occasion.
I wouldn't say she loved the pool - but she certainly didn't hate it either. You could see the wheels turning in her head the entire time we were in the water.
My version of her thoughts goes something like this, "What is this place? It's kind of like a bath, only mommy and daddy fit too, they definitely don't fit in my bathtub that goes over the sink! Why is it wet? Do I like this? Hmmm...the grown ups seem to be smiling a lot, I must like this. Am I supposed to like this?"
"DON'T put me on my back...I don't like that! Okay, I'm upright again...maybe this is okay."
I think she's going to love the water, once she figures out what's going on! :-)
