Big Girl Bed

Shortly after our snow trip, we set up a big girl bed in Addie's room. For the first couple weeks, we put the mattress on the floor so she could get used to it, but had her continue sleeping in her crib. 

She loved reading with Daddy on her big girl bed!

 After a while, we took down her crib and put up a real bed. It's a trundle bed, so we rolled out the bottom part halfway. This way, if she falls off, she just lands on another mattress that's not too far away.

It took her a couple weeks, but she eventually realized she could get in and out of the bed as she pleased. Now she typically plays for an hour or so before she falls asleep.

The first day she figured out how to open her closet doors, I found her like this after nap time...
